Brandýsko Power Plant, Czech Republic
Reliable Heat and Power with MWM Gas Engine
At the Brandýsko power plant in Brandýs nad Labem, Czech Republic, an MWM TCG 3016 V12 gas engine ensures efficient and demand-oriented energy generation. The unit, commissioned in 2021, delivers 600 kW of electrical and 735 kW of thermal output. Electricity is fed into the public grid, while thermal energy supports the district heating system, supplying nearby residential buildings and a private hospital. The engine operates flexibly depending on seasonal demand. In winter, it runs up to 16 hours per day, while in summer, daily operation is reduced to around 6 hours. This approach increases the overall efficiency of the system and helps extend the service life of the genset, reducing operating and maintenance costs.
