Cement Plant, Russia
MWM Power and Heat Solution for Cement Production
At a cement plant in Volsk, Russia, two MWM TCG 2032 V16 gas engines provide a total electrical output of 8.6 MW. The combined heat and power plant was commissioned in 2019 and supports both energy efficiency and process optimization on site. In addition to generating electricity, the system recovers heat from the engine exhaust and the intercooling circuit. This thermal energy is used to heat water from the nearby river Volga, which is then utilized in the plant’s production processes.
