The CHP plant of the energy company PGNiG TERMIKA Energetyka Przemysłowa S.A. next to the “Pniów” coal mine in Poland, which is being modernized with two TCG 2032 V16 gas engines, in the future will produce heat and power from methane.
The system is based on an MWM TCG 2032B V16 gas engine with an electrical output of 4.5 MW and meets the entire heat demand of the company.
The CHP plant, which has been in operation since 1999 by Jastrzębie S.A, has been remotorized twice with MWM gas engines, most recently with a TCG 2032 V16.
Five MWM TCG 2032 V16 gas engines are generating power and heat for the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMCC) as well as for the local population in the Ural Mountains in Russia.
The power plant with four TCG 2032B V16 gas engines generates cost efficiently power for a nearby mining facility in Chelyabinsk region, Russia.
