Power Generation at Timokhovo Landfill
The biogas plant at the Timokhovo landfill in Russia operates five MWM TCG 2020 V20 gas engines. Together, they generate 10 MW of electrical power, supplying both the landfill site and the local grid. Commissioned in July 2021, the plant also provides the necessary thermal energy for the digestion process. By using methane from waste decomposition, it produces sustainable energy and reduces harmful gas emissions into the atmosphere.
