IPP Municipal District Heating Project
A large IPP municipal district heating project is realized in Almetyevsk, Tatarstan, which is the home city for Tatneft, one of the largest oil companies in Russia. Three older boiler houses in different parts of the city have been upgraded with total of 12 MWM TCG 2032 V16 gas engines chosen for the excellent combination of high electrical and thermal efficiency and low maintenance costs. The electricity is used for customer needs and sold to the electrical grid while heat is transferred to the city network providing hot water services to its inhabitants.
