In close collaboration with the official MWM distributors, MWM has been successfully rolling out energy projects in Central Asia and Eastern Europe for more than 20 years. The regions are served by the subsidiary MWM Austria GmbH.

1,800+ Gas Engines Supplied to Customers in Central Asia and Eastern Europe

In the countries of Central Asia and Eastern Europe, MWM Austria GmbH has already supplied more than 1,800 gas engines with a total electrical output of more than 3 GW to customers for the rollout of power plant projects. This makes MWM one of the most successful providers of gas engines in the output range of 1 to 5 MW in these regions.

From electrical energy for a mining operation in Kazakhstan to power and steam for a textile enterprise in Uzbekistan—thanks to their high level of adaptability and flexible energy generation, MWM generator sets are suitable for numerous industries and segments. At a cement plant in Volsk, Russia, two MWM TCG 2032 V16 gas engines supply 8.6 MW of power to the factory. Waste heat from the engines is used to warm river water and support the plant’s production processes.

Since 2014, six containerized MWM TCG 2020 V16 K gensets provide 9 MW of flexible, reliable power to meet the energy demands of AtakayCement in the Krasnodar Area, Russia.

Chilanzar District Heating Plant, Uzbekistan

A CHP plant based on two MWM gas engines and two boilers provide hot water to 3,105 apartments in 50 multistory blocks, two schools, three kindergartens, and two hospitals for heating and usage purposes in one of Tashkent districts.

FT TEXTILE, Namangan, Uzbekistan

Thanks to the new plant, power fluctuations are no longer an obstacle to the textile production processes. The hot water produced during the production process is used to heat a 9-hectare greenhouse.

Olmazor District Heating Plant, Tashkent, Uzbekistan

A modern cogeneration plant has been commissioned in the Shon-Shukhrat neighborhood of the Almazar district. This investment project, developed in cooperation between JSC Thermal Power Plants and the Turkish company Iltekno, was implemented using energy-saving technologies.

Tirotex, Tiraspol, Transnistria

For more than 15 years, a state-of-the-art 31 MW power plant with several MWM TCG 2032 V16 gas engines has been delivering reliable electrical and thermal energy to support textile production and to meet the needs of local consumers.

Asia Cement, Russia

Since 2015, two containerized MWM TCG 2020 V20 gensets deliver a total of 4 MW of electrical power to support the increasing energy demand of the local Asia Cement factory in Penza, Russia.

Almetyevsk Heat Networks, Russia

A large IPP municipal district heating project is realized in Almetyevsk, Tatarstan, which is the home city for Tatneft, one of the largest oil companies in Russia. Three older boiler houses in different parts of the city have been upgraded with total of 12 MWM TCG 2032 V16 gas engines.
